Doug Burger

Doug grew up in Bellingham, Washington, where he developed the work eithic, determination, and love of competition that have shaped his life and career. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bellingham High School and, as a newspaper carrier, managed a daily 135-home paper route.

His early years were filled with activities that reflected his broad interests. He competed in rifle and archery competitions, earning junior championships in both, swam with the YMCA swim team, played piano in various concerts, and became an Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow recipient, and represented his region at the National Scout Jamboree.

At 15, Doug discoverred a lifelong passion for motorcycles. In addition to street riding, he went on to compete in motocross, enduros, hillclimbing, and mud-run events. His love for motorcycles and music remain important parts of his life.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Washington State University, he moved to the Olympia area where he got his real estate license and began a career spanning nearly five decades. Over the years, he has received numerous sales honors, inclluding repeated recognition as the #1 RE/MAX agent in Washington State. His teams have ranked #1 in the RE/MAX four State region of Washington, Idaho, Oregon, and Montana, as well as #84 in the Nation.

Doug and his wife, Jamie, have built their family life around time together and a shared love of travel and adventure. They raised two sons, Kyle and Cory, and enjoyed exploring the western United States in their motorhome, often with quads or jet skis in tow. Today, Cory works alongside Doug on his real estate team, while Kyle lives in Amsterdam and works in the tech industry. With four grandchildren, family continues to be at the heart of Doug and Jamie's lives.
